Melilla is a Spanish enclave on the North Coast of Africa, surrounded by Morocco. It is a beautiful autonomous city with a lot to offer. Travel to mainland Spain is easily accessible by plane or boat, and you can visit Morocco after crossing the border.
The British Centre has been active in Melilla since 1998 and is well known and highly thought of. We are a FECEI accredited school. We offer a friendly and supportive work environment for teachers of all backgrounds. All of our teachers receive ongoing personal professional development, in addition to in-house training that is given throughout the contract.
Excellent professional development opportunities are offered through induction, and bimonthly training sessions and workshops. As a Trinity exam centre, training sessions on Trinity GESE and ISE exams are also given regularly.
At the British Centre, we emphasize a fun, communicative approach to teaching English to children from the age of three, as well as teenagers and adults of all abilities. Our students work towards taking a Trinity GESE or ISE exam at the end of the year.
We have excellent purpose built teaching facilities, plus each of our 15 classrooms is fully equipped with smart board technology.
The contract is a fijo discontinuo. The contract starts in October.
The contract is for 34 hours per week. This is made up of contact-teaching hours and administrative hours.
